Yue Qiao 乔越
Hello, I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the 3D Audio and Applied Acoustics (3D3A) Lab at Princeton University, advised by Prof. Edgar Choueiri. I received a B.S. in Physics and a minor in Art History at Peking University in 2019.
I am interested in spatial audio reproduction, real-time audio DSP with deep learning, and VR/AR audio in general. During my PhD, I have been focusing on building head-tracked personal sound zone systems that allow headphone-free, personalized spatial audio delivery to multiple listeners. In my spare time, I am also enthusiastic in performing & composing music, and am a member of the Princeton Laptop Orchestra (PLOrk). (Here is an interview of me if you are interested to know more!)

| May 15, 2023 | Our latest work on personal sound zones was presented at AES 154 at Aalto University in Finland. We discussed optimal spatial sampling scheme for implementing head-tracked personal sound zones. at Meta was presented at the AES 153 Convention. |
| Oct 26, 2022 | My internship work at Meta was presented at the AES 153 Convention. We proposed a machine-learning-based model for the evaluation of spatial audio quality, a critical step in comparison & improvement of spatial audio algorithms and hardware systems. |
